Robert Van Dyk, LNHA, CALA   Robert Van Dyk is President and CEO of Van Dyk Health Care, which owns and operates two (2) Nursing Homes, two (2) Assisted Living Residences, Senior Housing with 62 congregate care apartments, a Rehab Company and a Health & Fitness Center.  He is a founder and principal of Assisted Living Training Associates (ALTA), a professional organization specializing in the training of Assisted Living Administrators and ancillary personnel.  Mr. Van Dyk is presently the Chairman of the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and the immediate past Chairman of the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL).  He serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Governors of both associations.  
         
Martin H. Klein, LNHA, CALA   President/CEO, Seashore Gardens Living Center, Galloway Township, NJ, a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and a Certified Assisted Living Administrator, Martin has worked with Seashore Gardens Living Center for 34 years. He was instrumental in bringing assisted living to the State of New Jersey and has received State and national recognition for his efforts and leadership in both the Nursing Home and Assisted Living industries. The New Jersey Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators dedicated their “Distinguished Administrator Award” to him in 1998. He has sat on numerous local, state and national committees, during his tenure at Seashore Gardens Living Center.  
         
Kathy Fiery, MS, LNHA, CALA, CSW  

Director – Division of Assisted Living/Alternative Care, Health Care Association of New Jersey. Kathy has worked for the Health Care Association of NJ since 1999 and is responsible for the association’s assisted living and residential health care facility membership.

Prior to coming to the HCANJ Kathy worked for Presbyterian Homes & Services, Inc. for 12 years in various capacities including Social Worker, Resident Services Coordinator and Administrator in the company’s CCRC’s, nursing homes and RHCF’s. She was responsible for the licensing of NJ’s first Assisted Living Program in affordable housing, and was ultimately responsible for PH&S’s assisted living programs.

Kathy received her undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College, and an MS in counseling with a specialization in gerontology from the University of Rochester. She is a licensed nursing home administrator, certified assisted living administrator and certified social worker.

 
         
Tom Kelly   Tom Kelly has been in the field of gerontology for over twenty eight years. After completing his masters degree in health care administration, Mr. Kelly provided regulatory and legislative consultation for long term care facilities, hospitals and private corporations. Formerly an educator out of Temple University 's Institute on Aging, Mr. Kelly joined New Jersey 's assisted living initiative in 1993 with colleagues from the long term care industry and the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. Mr. Kelly was part of the team that developed New Jersey 's licensing standards and the state competency examination for assisted living administrators. Mr. Kelly has experience in managing multi-facilities and is currently employed by Presbyterian Homes and Services of New Jersey as the Executive Director of the Haddonfield Home and Director of Assisted Living Programming.
